LEAGUE INFORMATION

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN FOR THE 2024 MENS SPRING LEAGUE!
Registration Deadline is March 21st, 2024 ($35 late fee/player for all payments made after this date)

League Start: April 15, 2024

Season End: July 17, 2024

# of Games: 16 (includes reg season + Playoffs)

Registration Types - Individual, Group 2-12 players, Full team
(explanations of these further down)

Skill Types and Experience Levels
- All skill types beginner, intermediate and advanced are welcome. As the league grows we will have separate divisions.

DIVISIONS
All of our adult leagues have divisions for all different skill sets and experience levels, we will not be able to determine formats of divisions, until all teams are registered.
Typically, we have a reseed round to see where teams belong and properly place them for remainder of schedule.

Days of Week: Primarily Monday and Wednesday Nights 
- Some weeks it will be Mon or Wed (1 game) - Other weeks it will be Mon and Wed.
- If more teams register than hours available, other nights will be added to the schedule
*Scheduling cannot be guaranteed, as we are at the mercy of Parks and Rec availability

EQUIPMENT

Players      -Manadatory (CSA Approved ice hockey helmet with facecage, ice hockey gloves, ice hockey stick)
                  -Recommended (protective cup, soccer style shin pads)

Goaltenders   -Mandatory (protective cup, hockey pants, pads, glove, blocker, chest/arm protector, CSA approved helmet)

CBHA and BCBHA SANCTIONED LEAGUE
This is the only recognized league in Kelowna by the BCBHA (British Columbia Ball Hockey Association) and the Canadian Ball Hockey Association (CBHA).
This gives our league and players access to:
- Limited Medical and Liability Insurance
- Access to all Provincial, Regional, National and Global tournaments and events put on by the Canadian Ball Hockey Association
KELOWNA WILL BE HOSTING THE MENS AND WOMENS B/C/D PROVINCIAL CHAMPIONSHIP JULY, 2024
ALL OF OUR TEAMS WILL HAVE ACCESS TO PARTICIPATE!


OFFICIALS, TIMEKEEPERS AND STATS
- We use a two referee system.
- All of our officials will be certified by through the BCBHA and CBHA
- Timekeepers provided every game for clock management and statistical entry
- Teams and Players will have full access to comprehensive online team stats and standings

GAME LENGTH (6O Minutes)
- 5 min warm up, 2 x 20 minute halves (2nd half stop), Penalty Shots (regular season)

COSTS -  Individual and Group Registrations

Individual  (Free Agent)    $255/Player
- Single Player, registering on my own looking to be placed on team
- We will try and place you with team, best suited to skill and experience level
* $30 jersey fee added on during registration process, provided at first game.

Group (Free Agent Group)  $255/player
- 2 to 12 players
- Group of players, registering together looking to be placed on team together.
* $30 jersey fee added on during registration process, provided at first game.
* All prices add GST

COSTS - TEAM FEES (OPTIONS 1 & 2)

- When paying one lump sum payment $3750 
- When paying individual payments $255/Player
* All prices add GST

Option 1: Team Paying in One Full Payment $3750 
- Team Rep Pays full team fee in one lump sum.
- You can have 11-25 man roster, fees are paid by Team Rep in one lump sum.
- Team rep pays full team fee at once, they collect fees from their players.
* No Free Agents will be added to this team *

Option 2: Team is Paying Individual Fees $255/each
- If team choose to pay individually and has less than 16 players.

Option A. Players pay individually, during registration, they have 16 or more players on their team, ALL are paid in full
- This is considered a Full Team (16+) and will not have free agents added.
* The option of paying the Full Team Fee no longer exists, if player have paid individually*

Option B: Players pay individually, they have less than 16 players, they are considered a "group"
They can pay out the remaining full time spots to get to 16 paid spots or take free agents from the league. 
(Example; 14 players registered as a "team" paying individually)
1. They can take free agents from the league, league will provide 2-4 free agents - in this case.
2. They can choose not to take free agents and pay out the remaining spots to get to 16 paid spots.
* The option of paying the Full Team Fee no longer exists, if players have paid individually*

TEAM JERSEYS
- It is best for teams to order their own jerseys (make sure to order more than you have, in case of extra player additions)
- Team rep can choose to order a set of  league jerseys during registration (Cost is between $500 and $550 for 18 jerseys)
These jerseys are one colour jerseys, they are pre-ordered jerseys and pre-determined numbers and sizing.

Roster Players: Register To My Existing Team

  • This type of registration is for players that are part of an existing team
  • In order to proceed, your TEAM REP has already registered the team online

​​​​​​​Free Agent Group: Register with Small Group of Friends

  • This type of registration is for a group players that don’t have a full team, but want to be placed on a team together - PLEASE READ BELOW-
  • Group Represenatative: You must designate a Group Represenative within your group. Pick one person (Players Full Name)
  • During the online registration process, their is a box labelled "Group Representive" you will be asked who your Group Rep is. All players in your group (including the Group rep) must put this persons FULL NAME into the "Group Representative" box. This is the ONLY way for the league to identify your group of players that want to play together.

Free Agent Individual: Register As An Individual

  • This type of registration is for an individual players that are registering on their own
  • Free Agents will be placed on a team by the league

    REFUND POLICY - ADULTS


    Individual Payments

     - Any registration cancelled before the registration deadline will be charged an automatic $50 admin fee
    - Any registrations cancelled after registration deadline charged $75 admin fee + $30 Jersey Fee
    - Any registration cancelled during season
    $75 admin fee + $30 jersey fee + ($15 x # of games TEAM has played)

    NO refunds after team has played 4 games

         ADULT TEAM REFUND POLICY
    - Cancelling before the registration deadline
    A. EVERYONE Paid individually $50/player
    B. Paid full team fee: $500 deducted from team fee, remainder refunded

    ​- Cancelling after the schedule has been created, NO REFUNDS 
    A. Paid individually: no refund
    B. Paid full team fee: no refund

    Players who are injured (ie. for the season) and can provide a doctors note, will be refunded at the $10/game rate (played by your team).
